Someone reads out a topic and starts the timer. You have ten seconds to name something that fits, tap the letter it starts with, and pass — and that letter is gone for the rest of the round.

Why we stock it
Most games that work for an eight-year-old bore the adults. This one is levelled by speed rather than vocabulary, so a quick child beats a slow grown-up and nobody has to go easy. The rules take about a minute to explain, which is why it has stayed in print since 2012.

In the box
One wheel with the timer built in, 36 category cards and the rules. The cards store inside the wheel, so there is no bag to lose and nothing to assemble. You supply two AA batteries.
Care
Wipe the wheel with a dry cloth. Take the batteries out if it is going in a cupboard for a season.
Materials and care
Solid beech with a water-based, non-toxic finish. Wipe with a damp cloth — do not soak or put in a dishwasher. Every piece is tested for size, coating and finish against EN71 and ASTM F963.
